Make a pledge for people and planet

We’re on a mission to support both people and planet by telling stories and seeking action. Whether you’re a booth coordinator or a buyer, we’re asking you to make a pledge to champion social impact and environmental responsibility at IMEX Frankfurt.

Commitment

By each committing to four simple actions, together we can create a show that’s both inclusive and conscious of our impact on the planet.

Recognition

We’ll highlight participating booths with a green booth number and in a listing at the People and Planet Village.

Reward

Everyone supporting the pledge can collect a ribbon at the IMEX Info Zone in Hall 9 to show they've signed the pledge.

People and planet pledge for all.

Choose four (or more) of the following:

  1. Read and support the IMEX code of conduct
  1. Visit the CSR display in the People and Planet Theatre
  1. Attend an Impact education session
  1. Bring a pronoun badge to wear at the show
  1. Travel responsibly use public transport or walk where possible to and from the show, and purchase carbon offsets for unavoidable travel emissions
  1. Download the TraffickCam App (to help combat human trafficking)
  1. Choose sustainable food options (look out for regional, organic, water-wise, vegetarian and plant-based options on our menus)
  1. Talk to prospective partners about their sustainability initiatives during your meetings
  1. Perform a random act of kindness (buy someone a coffee in the coffee line, help with directions or donate to local Frankfurt charities)
  1. Place your unwanted items in the donation bins and recycle your show badge when you leave
Take the pledge for individuals

If you're a booth coordinator you can commit to four (or more) of the following:

  1. Talk to your booth constructor about using sustainable materials and what they can do to reduce waste
  1. Order sustainable catering (regional, organic, water-wise, vegetarian, plant-based)
  1. Reduce or remove all single-use plastics and paper, including brochures
  1. Only offer sustainable gifts or giveaways
  1. Read, support and share the IMEX code of conduct with your booth partners and staff
  1. Support the use of pronoun badges for your show team
  1. Encourage your show team to download the TraffickCam App (to help combat human trafficking)
  1. Travel responsibly by carbon offsetting your team’s travel to the show
