PortAventura Business & Events closes 2025 as a benchmark for transformative corporate experiences.
PortAventura World, January 27, 2026. – PortAventura Business & Events ends the year with a very positive balance that consolidates its leadership as one of Europe’s top MICE destinations. With over 250 events organized and more than 50,000 attendees throughout the year, the division has experienced sustained growth. This continuous momentum has been driven by the trust of major brands and the operational excellence of all PortAventura Business & Events teams, who continue to offer innovative proposals based on technology, sustainability, and customization. The year 2025 has been marked by consolidation and international projection, with 61% of revenue coming from events with attendees from international markets and 39% from domestic attendees. Over the last year, 67% of total revenue came from events managed through specialized agencies, while 33% were handled directly with the companies themselves. These figures demonstrate the international positioning of PortAventura Business & Events, both at a corporate and agency level. “2025 has been an extraordinary year marked by the trust of our clients, the result of teamwork and continuous growth aimed at delivering transformative experiences for companies. We close the year proud to have proven that innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence can go hand in hand,” stated Malin Nilsson, Director of PortAventura Business & Events.
Versatility and the ability to develop and adapt to all types of events represented one of the main strengths of PortAventura Business & Events, with 86% of the activity corresponding to corporate conventions, 4% to incentive trips, and 10% to congresses, sports events, and sectoral meetings. Among the year’s most notable events were MSP GLOBAL 2025, which gathered over 2,800 IT professionals for three days in a fully immersive and technological environment. Also noteworthy was Uriach’s “Unstoppable” convention, which brought together over 1,200 employees from 27 countries and transformed the PortAventura Convention Centre into a unique show where music, dance, and audiovisual storytelling connected participants with the brand’s vision and values. The list also includes renowned companies such as Nokia, Merck Life Science, B&B HOTELS, GAME, Norauto, Iceland Seafood, or Desalia by Ron Barceló, who chose the resort as the setting to expand their narratives and activate corporate strategies through experiences that directly engage attendees. In addition to recognition from various industries, PortAventura Business & Events also received international acclaim from the MICE sector itself. It was awarded Gold for Best International Convention Centre at the Micebook Awards (UK) and Bronze at the M&IT Awards as Best Overseas Conference Centre, for the fourth consecutive year. Globally, it earned Gold as Large Venue and Silver as Convention Centre at the Eventex Global Awards. These achievements are the result of a strong commitment to technological innovation, embodied by Booster Audiovisual Solutions, the joint venture between PortAventura Business & Events and Bmotion Audiovisual. This alliance has enabled the creation of high-impact experiences incorporating advanced real-time customization solutions, immersive spaces, digital scenography, and AI-based tools. Integrating these technologies allows the design of events where the attendee takes center stage, strengthening the bond with the brand through emotion and storytelling.
It has also been a high-impact year in terms of sustainability, which continues to consolidate as a key strategic pillar. As the first theme resort in the world to obtain B Corp certification, PortAventura World has expanded its electric charging stations, enhanced specialized staff training for sustainable event advisory, and promoted the operation of its self-consumption solar park, PortAventura Solar. Currently, 30% of PortAventura World’s energy comes from its own renewable sources, and since 2008, it has achieved an 88% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, 84% of suppliers are national and 57% local, many of them certified, reinforcing commitment to the local economy and positive territorial impact.
Looking to the future, strong sales performance ahead of 2026 allows PortAventura Business & Events to approach the new year with very positive expectations. As of today, the division has a confirmed volume of events and quotes exceeding that of the previous year. So far, over 35 events and more than 21,000 attendees have been confirmed for the coming months.
In terms of event profiles, there is a balance between domestic and international markets, with events planned for prominent companies such as RSM Consulting, LaLiga International, Avasa, and Gamexpo, among others. Spain accounts for 23.8% of confirmed event revenue, followed by the United Kingdom with 28.3% and France with 11.3%. The remainder is distributed among Belgium, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, which together represent 36.6% of the total. This distribution reinforces the positioning of PortAventura Convention Centre as a benchmark MICE destination in Europe, with a solid business base and highly promising outlook for 2026. With a clear vision for the future, PortAventura Business & Events remains committed to transforming the MICE sector through integrated experiences, where innovation and sustainability align to generate real impact on attendees, companies, and the environment.
