CEO and Founder
Originate Institute
Sofya is the founder of Originate Institute and has spent the past eight years serving as Head of Design at the Gaudí Foundation. With a background in architecture, design and innovation, she has led global initiatives to explore and translate Gaudí’s philosophy into a modern design methodology. Sofya created the Origin8 Method—a nature‑inspired, human‑centered approach to creativity and innovation rooted in Gaudí’s principles and adapted to today’s global challenges.
Throughout her career, Sofya has designed international exhibitions, led design congresses across Europe and Asia, and facilitated workshops and hackathons on five continents. Her work brings together regenerative design, cultural storytelling and educational transformation—all with the aim of reconnecting people with their origins to shape more meaningful, sustainable futures. She has shared her insights at TEDx, the Gaudí World Congress and conferences across Spain, India, the USA South Korea and China.
With experience in architecture, entrepreneurship, and innovation—along with 12 years as a practicing artist and designer—Sofya is committed to making a lasting impact in the design world.
