Patrick Delaney began his career by co‑founding Delaney Marketing Consultants with Pádraic Gilligan before acquiring Ovation Group, which later became part of MCI and expanded to 100 offices worldwide. Patrick has served as president of SITE and the SITE Foundation and has held leadership roles in key industry associations including ICCA, MPI and PCMA.
Patrick has been honored with multiple major industry awards, including the IMEX Academy Award and induction into both the Events Industry Council’s Hall of Leaders and the AIPCO Hall of Fame—recognition for his outstanding contribution to the meetings and events industry over a 35‑year career. He has spoken at numerous global industry events, contributing to SITE, The Global Meetings Show, IMEX, The Meetings Show, FIEXPO, ICCA, WEC, Convening Leaders, AIPC, IAPCO, City Destinations Alliance, BestCities and IACC, among others. Patrick continues to deliver seminars and lectures across all five continents.
He also serves on the advisory board for The Meetings Show and Destination DC’s IBEC Council.
